Women's Soccer fall to Valley Forge In Season Opener
(written by James Daniel Padilla, SID)
The Medgar Evers women's soccer team opened the season at Phoenixville, PA against the University of Valley Forge Patriots, falling 12-0. Pacing the cougars on the offensive side was freshmen
Brenda Cruz (Colombia) having four shots on goal and
Talisha Lubrun (Haiti) having two shots on goal but neither could not keep up with the Patriots strong defense in the match. Our freshman goalkeeper
Samantha Rodriquez (Puerto Rico) had eleven saves in twelve goal attempts.
Medgar Evers (0-1) will return to the field on Wednesday, September 6th at 4:00pm to play away in Morristown, NJ against College of Saint Elizabeth.
