The Medgar Evers College Gymnasium, better known as the "Cougars Cave," opened in the early 1970's. Home of the institution's men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams, the venue's capacity caps at 272 people, and when the stands are packed, the gym is extremely loud, giving the Cougars a strong home campus advantage, and making things very difficult for opponents.

When inclement weather prevents outdoor practices, the men's and women's soccer team utilize the Cougars Cave for practice, and the men's and women's track & field teams also work on their sprinting and speed in the Cougars Cave. The gymnasium features three rows of seating opposite the scorers table, as well as a large stage at the far end of the court, which is used primarily for school events that are non-athletic related.

Fans have been taking in the action at the Cougars Cave for nearly 50 years.
The Cougars Cave is located in the Carroll Street Building at 1150 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11206.
