Cougars Drop Both Matches in CSI Tri Match

The Medgar Evers Men's Volleyball was a part of the CSI Tri Match making it their third tri match of the season this time against conference rivals the Dolphins and the Bulldogs. The Cougars lost the match against the Dolphins in three straight sets (17-25, 21-25, 16-25). The Cougars then played the Bulldogs and dropped the match in 4 sets (14-26, 25-23, 11-25, 21-25, 18-25).

Against the Dolphins, Freshman Outside Hitter Enmanuel Jaquez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) collected a team high 13 kills while also having the team high 8 digs. Junior Setter Kareem Cyrus (Saint Georges, Grenada) recorded 16 assist for the Cougars. 

Against the Bulldogs, Freshman Outside Hitter Enmanuel Jaquez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) recorded a team high 13 kills. Junior Setter Kareem Cyrus (Saint Georges, Grenada) collected 17 assist in the match. Sophomore Middle Blocker Dwight Boone (Brooklyn, N.Y.) collected a team high 10 digs. 

Medgar Evers (4-9, 1-5) will continue on the road going against Lehman College in a non-conference matchup on Thursday, March 15th at 5:00pm.
