BROOKLYN, NY - The Medgar Evers College women's soccer team played a home contest against York College at Kingsborough Community College on Saturday, November 2.
The Cougars fell to the Cardinals by a final score of 10-1.
After conceding an early goal in the third minute, in the seventh minute the Cougars responded with a goal of their own. Medgar's forward line aggressively pressured the York defense and a loose ball ultimately resulted in an own goal.
The Cougars held the score at 1-1 for around 15 minutes before conceding, but the scoreline remained a respectable 3-1 at halftime, helped by 10
Jody-Ann Blanchard saves.
In the second half, despite seven more saves from Blanchard, Medgar was unable to mount a comeback.Â
The 2019 Medgar Evers women's soccer season has concluded.
