Box Score 2 New York, NY- On Monday Oct. 8, 2012, the Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball team competed in a pair of CUNYAC matches at today's Multi Match held at Baruch College. In Match 1, MEC fell to City College of New York 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-20), and in Match 2, fell to Hunter College 3-0 (25-7, 25-9, 25-3).
In Match 1, the Beavers improved to 7-13 Overall and 5-2 CUNYAC. Medgar Evers College dropped to 0-14 Overall and 0-5 CUNYAC. The Cougars in the loss were led by Junior
Catheline Joseph with 6 kills on 16 total attacks. Joseph added 2 assists, a dig, and 2 blocking assists. Junior
Beatrice Bonhomme tallied 5 kills and added a team high 3 service aces. Sophomore
AnnMarie Bemberry poured on 13 assists.
City College in the win was led by Dalliana Toussaint with 7 kills.
In Match 2, the Hawks improved to 14-6 Overall and 6-1 CUNYAC. Medgar Evers College dropped to 0-15 Overall and 0-6 CUNYAC. In the loss, the Cougars were led by
Janiece Hill with 2 kills. Hill added a dig. Sophomore setter
AnnMarie Bemberry tallied 4 assists.
In the win, the Hawks were led by Taylor Kordich with 9 kills.
