Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team fell to the City College of New York Beavers 59-18. The Beavers improved to 1-4 Overall and 1-1 CUNYAC while the Cougars dropped to 0-7 Overall and 0-2 CUNYAC.

CCNY started off with a 4-0 lead until the Cougars came back and took an early 5-4 lead. CCNY regained the lead and didn't look back. Medgar Evers scored 14pts in the 1st half, which was the most points in a half this season.

Medgar Evers College in the loss was led by Freshman Guard Jaquy Lanot. Lanot scored 11pts (5-5 FT-FTA), grabbed 7 rebounds, added an assist, and two steals.

The Beavers were led by Bria Fisher with 15pts.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Saturday Dec.1, 2012 when they play the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels in the 14th Annual Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament at Medgar Evers College. Game time is 6pm. The following game will be the Berkeley (NY) Knights vs. the Yeshiva University Maccabees.
