Box Score Brooklyn, NY- On Monday January 14, 2013, the Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball squad fell to the Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears 67-52 at Brooklyn Technical High School. The Bears improved to 8-8 Overall while the Cougars dropped to 0-15 Overall.
The Cougars didn't start off well. In the 1st half, Medgar Evers College only managed 12pts. The coaching staff had a lot to say at the half in the locker room and boy it paid off. The Cougars came out firing in the 2nd half. They had a half to remember. The team shot 71.4% from 3pt. range (10-14 3FG-FGA). Freshman Guard
Nia Tompkins scored a career high 22pts. Tompkins was 6-12 from 3pt. range. Junior Guard
Wanda Winslow also scored a career high 19pts. Winslow was 5-8 from behind the arc. The 52pts as a team, was also a season high. It was great to see this scoring output and even though the Cougars lost, they will look to continue this hot shooting on Wednesday vs. York.
