COUGARS FALL TO ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE OF BROOKLYN IN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Women's Volleyball Cougars fell to the Saint Joseph's College of Brooklyn Bears 3-0 earlier tonight. The win improves the Bears record to 9-5 Overall and 4-0 HVIAC while the Cougars fall to 1-14 Overall and 0-6 HVIAC.

The Cougars led a few times in the 1st set but the Bears dominated the match. They tallied 27 kills compared to the Cougars 14. Senior Captain and Outside Hitter Janiece Hill led the team with 6 kills on 21 total attacks. Hill added a service ace and 3 digs. Sophomore Setter Nina Bernadine-White recorded 8 assists.Senior Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter Beatrice Bonhomme added a team high 12 digs and a solo block.

The Bears were led by Lauren GaNun with 12 kills.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday Oct. 12, 2013, when they travel to Morristown, NJ, and play in the Screaming Eagles multi match. At 1pm, the Cougars will square off with the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels, then at 3pm, face the host College of Saint Elizabeth.
