COUGARS FALL TO BROOKLYN COLLEGE IN MEN'S BASKETBALL

Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Men's Basketball Cougars fell to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs 89-68 earlier tonight. The Bulldogs improve to 3-6 Overall and 1-2 CUNYAC, while the Cougars drop to 1-9 Overall and 0-4 CUNAYC.

The Cougar started the game on a 6-0 run and eventually led 8-7 with 12:35 left in the 1st half. Brooklyn took the lead on a 3pt. shot from Harry Hazan (10-8) with 12:13 left in the 1st half. The Bulldogs would not give up the lead for the rest of the game. 

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Junior Guard Khalid Yousef with a game high 27pts (2-5 3pt. range and 9-11 FT-FTA). Yousef grabbed four rebounds, and dished out four assists. Sophomore Guard and Co-Captain Pablo Segura scored 13pts (1-4 3pt. range and 6-8 FT-FTA). The Flushing, NY native grabbed three rebounds, and recorded a team high four steals. Junior Forward/Center and Co-Captain Valin Williams grabbed a game highs in rebounds and blocks with 21 and six respectively.

Brooklyn College in the win, was led by Jai Kellman and Egzon Gjonbalaj with 26 apiece. Valon Djombalic added 11pts.

The Cougars will break for Finals Week and the Holidays, and resume action on January 3rd, 2014, when they travel to Center Valley, PA, and take on the DeSales University Bulldogs. Game time will be 8pm.
