COUGARS POOR SHOOTING PREVAILS DOLPHINS WITH A WIN IN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Box Score Riverdale, NY- The Women's Basketball Cougars fell to the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins 98-54 earlier tonight. The Dolphins improve to 3-0 Overall while the Cougars drop to 2-4 Overall. 

The Dolphins started the game on a 8-0 run, which lasted seven minutes. The Cougars scored their 1st point, on a free throw from Sophomore Guard Imani Mason. The Cougars would score their 1st field goal, with 10:21 left in the half, with a running layup courtesy of Sophomore Guard Jaquy Lanot (14-3). The Dolphins would not give up the lead during the game. Medgar Evers College would make mini runs, but it wasn't enough.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Sophomore Guard Imani Mason with 19pts. Mason grabbed eight rebounds, added an assist, and a block. Freshman Forward/Center Kimonia Mullings and Sophomore Guard Jaquy Lanot scored 11pts apiece. Mullings grabbed nine rebounds, added a block, and three steals. Lanot grabbed six rebounds.

The Dolphins in the win, were led by Brittany Carroll with 19pts. Kelly Fraser scored 17pts and Brittany Lee scored 16pts.

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday December 6, 2013, when they travel to 137th Street in New York, NY, and battle the City College of New York Beavers. Game time is 5pm.
