Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball squad fell to the John Jay Bloodhounds 88-44 at Medgar Evers College earlier tonight. The Bloodhounds improve to 13-10 Overall and 10-4 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 0-22 Overall and 0-13 CUNYAC.
The Cougars were led by
Imani Mason. The Freshman playing in her 2nd game, scored a game high 22pts (2-6 3pt. FG-FGA, 10-11 FT-FTA). Mason grabbed 13 rebounds, dished out 3 assists, and snatched the ball away from her opponent 7 times. This was her 1st double double of her young career. Fellow classmate,
Nia Tompkins scored 13pts. The Queens, NY native grabbed 5 rebounds and added a steal.
In the win, John Jay was led by Victoria Story with 22pts. Three other players scored in double digits, including Aneska Tejada and Jamecia Forsythe each with 14pts, and Tyana Hale with 13pts.
The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday February 6, 2013. They will take on the College of Staten Island Dolphins. This will be the home season finale and tip off will be 6pm. The game can be seen on
