Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Men's Basketball team fell to the Hunter College Hawks 87-72 earlier tonight. The Hawks improve to 11-12 Overall and 7-8 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 2-22 Overall and 1-14 CUNYAC.
Hunter led wire to wire. The Cougars tied the game at two, early on. The Cougars were within a couple of buckets of taking the lead, in the first 10 minutes. Hunter took over and extended the lead to double digits starting at 10:07 left in the 1st half. The Cougars couldn't climb over the hill, in order to win this game.
In the loss, Sophomore Guard
Mark Huson scored a team high 18pts (1-1 3pt. FG-FGA and 5-7 FT-FTA). Hudson grabbed five rebounds, dished out a team high four assists, tallied two blocks, and a game high five steals. Junior's

Khalid Yousef scored 13pts. Co-Captain Williams grabbed a game high 14 rebounds (marks his 9th double double this season), nearly perfect on the free throw line 7-8, tallied two blocks, and added a steal. Pablo Segura scored 10pts (1-2 3pt. FG-FGA, and 3-4 FT-FTA), grabbed three rebounds, and two steals.
In the win, Hunter was led by Lester Anim with 23pts. Brian Kruger scored 18pts and Jerrell Antley added 10pts.
The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday February 18th, 2014 when they travel to Staten Island, NY and battle the College of Staten Island Dolphins. This will be the season finale for the Cougars. Game time is set for 7:30pm.
