Box Score BROOKLYN, NY- The Women's Basketball team fell to the Hunter College Hawks 72-42 earlier tonight. The Hawks improve to 9-13, 6-7 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-20, 0-12 CUNYAC.

Ashley Desir shot a 3pt. shot, cutting the lead to a single point. With the score 6-3, Hawks, freshman
Shakeada Wint scored a 3pt. shot from the left side, tying the game at six, with 12:48 left in the 1st half. Hunter would go back up, before the Cougars took the lead on a 3pt. shot from Desir, making the score 10-8. Both teams would swap the lead, with the Cougars building their largest lead of the game (4 points). The Cougars were up 17-16, before Hunter would regain the lead, and not let it go for the rest of the game.Â
The Cougars shot 27.4% from the field, 23.8% from 3pt. range, and 50% from the free throw line, while Hunter shot 45.6% from the field, 42.9% from 3pt. range, and 66.7% from the charity stripe. In the loss, the Cougars were led by sophomore forward
Kimonia Mullings with 20 points (9-16 FG-FGA and 2-2 FT-FTA). Mullings grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out two assists, and tallied two steals. Kimonia recorded her fifth double-double of the season.
Ashley Desir scored 11 points (4-20 FG-FGA, 3-8 3pt. range, 0-2 FT-FTA). Desir grabbed two rebounds and dished out two assists. Hunter was led by Kristen Markoe with 22 points. Ashley Yu scored 16 points and Dimitra Thomopoulos adding 12 points.
