Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Women's Basketball team fell to the John Jay College Bloodhounds 65-32 earlier tonight. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-16, 4-10 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-21, 0-13 CUNYAC.
John Jay led wire to wire. The Cougars cut the lead to single digits for the three minutes. The Cougars shot 27.3% from the field, 9.1% from 3pt. range, and 53.8% from the charity stripe. Sophomore forward
Kimonia Mullings recorded her sixth double-double of the season, scoring a game high 19 points (7-17 FG-FGA and 5-9 FT-FTA). The Flushing, N.Y. native also grabbed a team high 11 rebounds. Sophomore guard
Ashley Desir led the team in assists with two and steals with three. John Jay shot 44.3% from the field, 35% from 3pt. range, and 36.4% from the free throw line. John Jay was led by Josephine Diaz and Brianna Cunningham with 14 points apiece. Terri Chu scored 11 points and Victoria Royal added 10 points.  Â
The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday, February. 10, 2015, when they battle the College of Staten Island Dolphins. Game time will be 6:00 p.m. and will be played at Medgar Evers College.Â
