NEW YORK, N.Y. – Coming off a road conference loss, the Medgar Evers women's basketball team looks to snap their losing skid when they head to the Doghouse in Manhattan to face CUNYAC foe John Jay College Wednesday night.

The Lady Cougars (0-13, 0-6 CUNYAC) seeks to bounce back after a 62-52 loss to CUNYAC opponent City College of New York Friday night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium. Danyelle Foster (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the scoring with 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the losing effort. In her first game in a Medgar Evers uniform, Elesha Dieudonne (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Foster averages 17.0 points per game to lead the team, which is sixth in the conference, and fourth in the CUNYAC with 12.7 rebounds per contest. Nia Tompkins (Queens, N.Y.) paces the squad with 30 three-pointers on the season (tied for fifth in CUNYAC), while Kimonia Mullings (Queens, N.Y.) is fifth in the conference with 11.1 boards per game with 9.2 points per game.

John Jay (3-9, 1-5 CUNYAC) is also seeking for a win after back-to-back losses against Maine Maritime Academy and CUNYAC opponent Baruch College. Brianna Cunningham leads the Bloodhounds with 11.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, while Josephine Diaz chips in with 9.8 points per contest. Shaliyah Ruiz is the team-leader in assists with 3.5 helpers per game, which ranks in the top-10 in the CUNYAC.
