Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Women's Volleyball Drop Both Matches at AMC Tri Match
NEW HAVEN, CONN. (Oct. 1, 2016) – On Saturday, the women's volleyball traveled to Albertus Magnus College for a tri match with them and the College of New Rochelle. The Lady Cougars were swept in both matches losing 3-0 first to New Rochelle and then losing 3-0 to Albertus Magnus. With both losses, Medgar Evers falls to 0-15 on the year while New Rochelle improves to 7-8 and Albertus Magnus improves 5-10.
 
In the first match, senior Naomi Chandler led the Lady Cougars with five digs and two assists while freshman Adenike Akindude added four digs and a kill to her credit.
 
In the second match, freshman Adenike Akindude and senior Kalifa Roberts led the way with six kills apiece. Freshman Melisa Wright added 12 digs while senior Naomi Chandler recorded seven assists on the match.
 
Women's volleyball will be back in action Monday, October 3, at the Cougars' Cave when they take on Maritime College at 7 p.m.
