Box Score Women's Volleyball Drops Nonconference Match to Cedar Crest
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Oct. 4, 2016) – On Tuesday night, the women's volleyball team took on the Falcons of Cedar Crest College in a non-conference matchup at the Cougars Cave. Medgar Evers dropped three straight sets but nearly took the second losing by just two points, 26-24. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-17 on the year and Cedar Crest improves to 6-7.
Senior
Kalifa Roberts tallied a team-high 11 digs, while also recording six kills and three assists on the night. Freshman
Adenike Akindude recorded 10 digs of her own and had a game-high eight kills. Sophomore
Charlena Mackey had a team-high nine assists and freshman
Melisa Wright added six kills. The Lady Cougars had some impressive runs but couldn't keep it up for an entire set.
Women's volleyball will be back in action on Thursday, October 6, at The Cougars Cave when they take on Farmingdale State College at 7 p.m.
