Box Score Women's Basketball Loses CUNYAC Opener 67-45 at Hunter
 
(NEW YORK, N.Y.) – Medgar Evers women's basketball visited conference rival Hunter College to open the conference season. The Lady Cougars are still looking for their first win of the season after losing 67-45. With the loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-6 (0-1 CUNYAC) while Hunter improves to 4-2 (1-1 CUNYAC) on the year.
 
It was a rough shooting night for the Lady Cougars as they went just 14-50 (28%) from the field. They were able to get to the line 21 times where they connected on 17 of them but it wasn't enough to make a comeback. Senior guard Elesha Dieudonne's (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way again notching her fifth double-double of the year scoring 21 points and a game-high 15 rebounds including five offensive boards. Only one other player managed to score in double figures and that was sophomore forward Chanelle Perry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who scored 10 points.
 
Hunter had three players in double figures with Ashley Yu leading the way with 14 points off the bench. Women's basketball is back in action Tuesday, December 6^th when they host York College for their conference home opener. The game will begin at 6 p.m.
