Box Score Women's Basketball Loses CUNYAC Opener 67-45 at Hunter
(NEW YORK, N.Y.) – Medgar Evers women's basketball visited conference rival Hunter College to open the conference season. The Lady Cougars are still looking for their first win of the season after losing 67-45. With the loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-6 (0-1 CUNYAC) while Hunter improves to 4-2 (1-1 CUNYAC) on the year.
It was a rough shooting night for the Lady Cougars as they went just 14-50 (28%) from the field. They were able to get to the line 21 times where they connected on 17 of them but it wasn't enough to make a comeback. Senior guard
Elesha Dieudonne's (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way again notching her fifth double-double of the year scoring 21 points and a game-high 15 rebounds including five offensive boards. Only one other player managed to score in double figures and that was sophomore forward
Chanelle Perry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who scored 10 points.
