Box Score Women's Volleyball Swept by CCNY
NEW YORK, N.Y. (Sep. 22, 2016) – On Thursday, the women's volleyball team took on the Beavers of City College of N.Y. in a CUNYAC matchup. Medgar Evers fought hard all three games but were unable to complete the job. The final game was decided by just three points, the best game Medgar Evers has had all season. With this loss, Medgar Evers falls to 0-11 (0-5 CUNYAC) on the year and CCNY improves to 3-5 (2-2 CUNYAC).

Kalifa Roberts led the way with a team-high seven kills while fellow classmate
Naomi Chandler added a game-high five aces and recording an impressive nine assists and six digs. Freshman
Melisa Wright added a game-high eight digs and classmate
Adenike Akindude added three digs of her own. The Lady Cougars played their best match of the season coming up just three points shy of winning the third and final game.
Women's volleyball will be back in action on Tuesday, September 27, against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn in a non-conference matchup. The match will begin at 7 p.m. in Brooklyn, N.Y.
