Women's Soccer Defeated by Lehman College

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Saturday afternoon as they faced Lehman College and got shut out by a score of 0-8.

The Cougars couldn't get anything done offensively in the match against the Lightening's tough and very strong defense. The Lightening's were able to score four goals in the first half and four goals in the second half.

Freshman Brenda Cruz (Colombia) led the Cougars offensively with two shots on goal in the match. Freshman Jody-Ann Blanchad (Jamaica) had one shot on goal in the match. Freshman Brihonne Desroses (Brooklyn) had two shots in the match. Cougars took three shots in the first period and two shots in the second period. Sophomore Renee Charles-Warren (Brooklyn/NY) had nine saves in eight goal attempts. She had two saves in the first half and seven saves in the second half. 

Medgar Evers (1-11-1, 0-4-1) will return to the field on Monday, October 16th for an away game against conference rival City College of New York at 6:30pm.
