Women's Soccer Falls to CCNY

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Monday afternoon as they faced City College of New York and got shut out by a score of 0-12.
The Cougars couldn't get anything done offensively in the match against the Beavers' tough and very strong defense. The Beavers were able to score nine goals in the first half and three goals in the second half.
Freshman Brenda Cruz (Colombia) played goalkeeper in the match and had sixteen saves out of twelve goal attempts.Cruz had eleven saves in the first half and five saves in the second half. Cougars was not able to get a shot through the Beavers' defense.
Medgar Evers (1-12-1, 0-5-1) will return to the field on Saturday, October 21st for an away game versus non-conference rival College of New Rochelle at 7:30pm in New Rochelle, NY.Â
