Women's Soccer Shut Out by Pine Manor

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Sunday afternoon as they faced Pine Manor College and got shut out by a score of 0-8.

The Cougars couldn't get anything done offensively in the match against the Gators' tough and very strong defense. The Gators were able to score four goals in the first half and four goals in the second half.

Freshman Brenda Cruz (Colombia) played goalkeeper for the full 90 minutes for the first time this season and had fourteen saves out of eight goal attempts. Cougars was not able to get a shot through the Bears defense. 

Medgar Evers (1-8, 0-2) will return to the field on Tuesday, October 3rd for their fourth home game versus non-conference rival Green Mountain College at 3:00pm in Brooklyn, NY.
