Women's Soccer Shut Out by College of Staten Island

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Saturday afternoon as they faced College of Staten Island and got shut out by a score of 0-7.

The Cougars couldn't get anything done offensively in the match against the Dolphins' tough and very strong defense. The Dolphins were able to score six goals in the first half and one goal in the second half.

Freshman Brenda Cruz (Colombia) played goalkeeper for the first half and had three saves out of six goal attempts. Sophomore Renee Charles-Warren (Brooklyn/NY) played goalkeeper for the second half and had nine saves out of only one goal attempt. Cougars was not able to get a shot through the Dolphins' defense. 

Medgar Evers (1-10, 0-3) will return to the field on Wednesday, October 11th at home game versus conference rival York College at 5:00pm in Brooklyn, NY.
