Men's Basketball Lose Close One to Cairn University

The Cougars' men's basketball team played in their first season away game of the season against Cairn University on Saturday afternoon. However, they were unable to start their season on the road with a win and lost a close one 73-79.
The Cougars had four players score in double figures. Senior guard Maurice Swaby II (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way in scoring with 20 points and also contributed with 7 rebounds. Junior guard Justin Sutton (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored thirteen points in the match and also contributed with four rebounds. Sophomore forward Hassan Jones (Harlem, NY) was perfect on the field going 5-5 for 10 points in 10 minutes in the match. Freshman small forward Basheeru Camara (Bronx, NY) recorded a double-double in the match recording 12 points, a team high 11 rebounds and a team high in assist with 3.
For the Highlanders, guard Julian Collazo scored 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists, Malachi Hall scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
The Cougars look to bounce back from their first away game by returning back home on Monday, November 27th at 7:30pm to challenge #5 Ramapo College.
