Women's Soccer Shut Out by University of Valley Forge

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Saturday afternoon as they faced University of Valley Forge and got shut out by a score of 0-8.

The Cougars couldn't get anything going offensively throughout the whole game and the Patriots dominated for most of the match.

Freshman and reigning CUNY co-rookie of the week Brihonne Desroses (Brooklyn) took three shots on goal out of her seven shots in the match. Sophomore Tyara Smith (Brooklyn / NY) and freshman Samantha Rodriquez (Puerto Rico) both took a shot on goal in the match. Freshman Jody-Ann Blanchad (Jamaica) took two total shots in the match. Sophomore goalkeeper Renee Charles-Warren (Brooklyn/NY) had fifteen saves in eight goal attempts. 

Medgar Evers (1-5, 0-2) will return to the field on Monday, September 25th for an away game against St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn, NY.
