Women's Soccer Blanked by St. Joseph's CollegeĀ

The Medgar Evers Women's Soccer team was in action Monday night as they faced St. Joseph College - Brooklyn and got shut out by a score of 0-12.Ā
The Cougars couldn't get anything done offensively in the match against theĀ Bears tough and very strong defense. The Bears were able to score ten goals in the first half and two goal in the second half as the referees called the match to an end at 70 minutes.Ā
SeniorĀ Charlyn Jordon (St. John's / Antigua) played goalkeeper for the first time this season and had fourteen saves out of twelveĀ goal attempts. Cougars was not able to get a shot through the Bears defense.Ā
Medgar Evers (1-6, 0-2)Ā will return to the fieldĀ onĀ Monday, SeptemberĀ 25thĀ for their third home game versus non-conference rivalĀ College of New Rochelle at 3:00pm inĀ Brooklyn, NY.
