Men's Soccer Wins First Game Of The Season

On Thursday night, the Medgar Evers College men's soccer team defeated York College by a score of 3-0 to win their first game of the season. The Cougars goals were scored by  Darrell Ambersley (Portmore / Jamaica) along with an assist , Skyvinsky Fils (Leogane / Haiti) and Romell Clarke (Clarendon / Jamaica). Yasir Eliassaint (Leogane / Haiti) also had an assist in the game. The Cougars played very aggressive offense in this game by shooting eleven shots on goal in fourteen attempts. Goalkeeper James Hyacinthe (Aquin / Haiti) had three saves in the game. 

Medgar Evers (1-2) will return to the field on Saturday, September 9th at 2:00pm in Jersey City, NJ against New Jersey City University.
