On September 15th, 2018, the Medgar Evers College Women's Volleyball team visited Wilkes University to compete in a Tri-match between their host Wilkes University and another visiting team Wesley College.
The first match MEC vs Wilkes University kicked off at 11:35am and the Lady Cougars held their game. The scores being 12-25, 5-25, and 14-25, they kept on pushing. The team was led by Senior Kaina Bazard (Haiti, BMCC) who had five (5) kills, two (2) blocks and six(6) digs.

The second match followed at 1:15pm when the Lady Cougars faced Wesley College. This was a tough loss for the team. The scores being 12-25, 3-25, and 9-25, it was very competitive match.
The team was led by Junior Melisa Wright (St. Catherine, Jamaica WI, Brooklyn Institute of Liberal Arts) who had two (2) kills.
