Cougars Go 1-1 in CSE Tri Match

The Medgar Evers Men's Volleyball continued on their season on the road with visiting College of Saint Elizabeth for the CSE Tri-match against the Eagles and the Bloodhounds. The Cougars won the match against the Eagles by being down 0-2 to then come back to win with three straight sets (15-25, 12-25, 25-17, 25-21, 15-4). The Cougars then played the Bloodhounds right after and dropped the match dropping all 3 sets (7-25, 18-25, 14-25).
Against the Eagles, Freshman Outside Hitter Enmanuel Jaquez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) led the Cougars in kills with 13 and also in service aces with 5. Junior Setter Kareem Cyrus (Saint Georges, Grenada) led the Cougars in assist with 22. Sophomore Middle Blocker Jovan Scott (Queens, N.Y.) led the Cougars in digs with 10.Â
Against the Bloodhounds, Freshman Outside Hitter Enmanuel Jaquez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) led the Cougars in kills with 4. Junior Setter Kareem Cyrus (Saint Georges, Grenada) led the Cougars in assist with 8. Sophomore Middle Blocker Jovan Scott (Queens, N.Y.) led the Cougars in service aces with 2. Freshman Outside Hitter Johan Jimenez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) led the Cougars in digs with 5.Â
Medgar Evers (2-1, 0-0) will return to the court on Saturday, February 17th against Purchase College at 12:00pm in Purchase, NY.
