Cougars Drop Senior Night Match Against CSI

The Medgar Evers Men's Volleyball played in their fifteenth overall match of the season against College of Staten Island on Tuesday night at 7:00pm. The Cougars dropped the match in three straight sets (13-25, 23-25, and 9-25).

Freshman Enmanuel Jaquez (Santiago, Dominican Republic) led the Cougars in kills with 5, a tied team high in digs with 7, a tied team high in service aces with 2 and led in blocks with two. Sophomore Libero Dwight Boone (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a tied team high in digs with 7. Junior Outside Hitter Abdul Kamara (Sierra Leone / West Africa) had a tied team in service aces with 2. Junior Setter Kareem Cyrus (Saint Georges, Grenada) led the Cougars in assist with 9. Sophomore Middle Blocker Cameron Bryan (Queens, NY) recorded 4 kills and 1 block in the match. The lone senior this season that was honored tonight was Ronald Bonhomme (Brooklyn, N.Y.) which he recorded 4 digs in the match.

For the Dolphins, Tairou Diaman led his team to the win recording 6 kills, 2 service aces, 2 assist and 7 digs and 3 blocks in the match.

Medgar Evers (4-11, 1-5) will head on the road to face off Hunter College in a conference matchup on Thursday, March 22th at 7:00pm.
