Kings Point, N.Y – The Medgar Evers Men's Soccer Team traveled to battle a non-conference match against the United States Merchant Marine Academy on September 5^th to result in a 0 – 6 victory in favor of USMMA.
 
USMMA took the lead early in the match scoring their first goal at 3:48 and their second goal in 23:02 in the first period. Medgar tried to persevere and took shots on goals by Voshawn Juba (Point-Fortin / Trinidad, Tilden), Erwine Pierre-Louis (Jacmel, Haiti, Lycee Wolson) & Abdul Edwards (Georgetown / Guyana, Frederick Douglass Academy 7) but none would make the difference.
 
USMMA managed to score 4 more goals in period 2 to finish out the match even with 15 saves from Freshman Goalie Carl-Henry Obeissant (Jeremy / Haiti, Tilden HS).
 
The Cougars will host Farmingdale State Monday September, 10^th at 7:30pm (if weather permits) @ Aviator Sports Field.
