The Medgar Evers College women's soccer team continued their 2019 season with matches against City College of New York, John Jay College and Mitchell College.
Against CCNY on October 2, the Cougars recorded a season-high four shots- two by
Kelia Morrah and one apiece from
Sandra Yankson and
Dana Barbara Jecrois.
Jody-Ann Blanchard and
Carphy Mathurin each recorded a dozen saves in the CUNYAC contest.
The black-and-gold then hosted the Bloodhounds of John Jay at Aviator on October 5.
Nathaly Claros recorded a shot on target and Blanchard contributed five saves, but the Cougars fell again.Â
On Saturday, October 12, the Cougars traveled to New London, CT, to take on Mitchell. Blanchard recorded seven saves and Yankson added four. Morrah and
Jessycca Myers each recorded a shot in the road contest.
The team will wrap up their 2019 season with two matches against York College - a road contest on Wednesday, October 16 at 2 pm, and a home match at Aviator on Saturday, October 26, at 4:30 pm.
