BROOKLYN, NY - The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team faced the College of Staten island at the Cougars Cave on Friday, December 8.
The Cougars fell to the Dolphins by a final score of 105-35.
Staten Island came out in a full-court press which allowed them to seize control early in the game which they never relinquished.
Tianna Jones finished with a team-best 10 points and added three rebounds, with both totals representing career-highs for the freshman guard.
Cyndi Whyte added eight points and four rebounds,
Samsara Paul added seven points and two steals, and
Vanessa Zambrano contributed six points, four rebounds, and four steals.
The Cougars will look to return to their previous solid form from the first two games of the season, as they take on Wesley College at the Cougars Cave, both at 3 pm on Sunday and 6 pm on Monday.
