The Medgar Evers College women's basketball team played a home CUNYAC game against Brooklyn College at the Cougars Cave in Brooklyn, NY, on Wednesday, February 13.
The Cougars (1-24, 1-15 CUNYAC) fell to the Bulldogs (18-7, 14-2) by a final score of 86-38.
Brooklyn stormed out to a colossal 23-2 lead right from the get-go and held a 27-4 lead after the first quarter. At halftime, the lead had ballooned to 48-12.
Brooklyn consistently deployed a full-court press defense which completely stifled MEC's offense while leading to quick transition buckets for the Bulldogs, which led to Brooklyn opening the second half on a 26-0 run to push their lead to 74-12.
The black-and-gold outscored the Bulldogs 19-6 in the final quarter but it was too little too late for the Cougars.
Janaisha Carrington led all scorers with 21 points and added nine rebounds in her final game for the Cougars on senior night.
Jessycca Myers added 11 points and nine rebounds for MEC.
This is the end of the 2018-19 campaign for the Medgar Evers College women's basketball team.
