BROOKLYN, NY - The Medgar Evers College women's volleyball team hosted the College of St. Elizabeth for a morning match on Saturday, September 7.
The Cougars (0-4) fell to the Eagles (2-1) by a final score of three sets to none (25-12, 25-12, 25-13).
The first set started out with two St. Elizabeth service aces - a theme for the match, as the Eagles accumulated 26 service aces over the three-set match - 8.7 aces per set.
The Cougars compiled seven kills and 19 digs over the course of the match, with
Cristina Carnegie leading Medgar with two kills and
Quiara Brye Bey and
Cristal Joseph adding five and four digs, respectively.Â
Melisa Wright also contributed a match-high four blocks.
The Cougars return to action on Tuesday at 7 pm, for a home match at the Cougars Cave against Mitchell College.
