Just 23 seconds into the match, Juliana Hernandez helped Zasu Alvarez slash a ball home to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage. Hernandez would then register a goal of her own, scoring at 2:06 (from Alvarez and Gianna DiPronio) to increase the Bulldogs' advantage to a pair of goals.

The Bulldogs later attacked from the right side, as Sage Bernstein slipped a pass over to DiPronio, as she fed Alvarez for the score (7:47), making it 3-0 in favor of Brooklyn College. Later, at 13:16, Julissa Chino found Bernstein for a through pass to the left to find Jaymi Quintuna. Quintuna then buried a ball home to make it 4-0 Bulldogs.

At 22:24, Chelsea Gonzalez blasted a ball home from the right side, with DiPronio and Alvarez registering assists on the play, as Brooklyn increased its commanding lead to five goals. Less than two minutes later, Hernandez found DiPronio for a blast that would go into the top right corner to make it 6-0.

Brooklyn College would pepper three more goals into the net before the expiration of the half, with Sage Bernstein (27:08, from DiPronio and Quintuna), Gonzalez (29:12, from DiPronio and Imani Dickens), and Dickens (35:24, from Bernstein and Chino) accounting for the goals. The Bulldogs took a 9-0 lead into intermission.
