COUGARS SLAYED BY KNIGHTS 5-0 IN WOMEN'S SOCCER

Box Score Brooklyn, NY- On Monday night, the Medgar Evers College Women's Soccer squad played HVWAC foe Berkeley College of NY Knights at Aviator Sports and Recreational Center in Brooklyn, NY. The Knights defeated the Cougars of Medgar Evers 5-0. Berkeley College improves to 2-2 Overall and 2-2 HVWAC, while Medgar Evers College falls to 0-11 Overall and 0-3 HVWAC.

Prior to the match, Senior's Yishka Chin and Marsa Spencer and Sophomore Natoya Primus received white carnations because they are graduating Medgar Evers College this May. The Cougars started off with a fast tempo. As a collective group, the women were making clean passes to each other and communicating on the pitch. Every once of awhile, someone would go on a mini breakaway. The Cougars registered one shot from Freshman Marissia Grant

For the Cougars, Senior goal keeper Yishka Chin played 90 minutes, gave up 5 goals and made 7 saves.

Medgar Evers College will be back in action on Wednesday Oct. 24, 2012 when they play crosstown rival the Brooklyn College Bulldogs in a non-league match. Game time is 4pm at Brooklyn College.
