Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team competed in the 14th Annual Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament at Medgar Evers College. In Game 1, it featured the home Cougars vs. the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels. The Blue Angels won 68-24 and improved their record to 3-3 Overall while the Cougars dropped to 0-8 Overall. 

Medgar Evers only led once, which was right after the opening tip. The Blue Angels tied the game at 2 and never let go of the lead.

Medgar Evers College in the loss was led by Freshman Guard Antanique Williams with 9pts. Williams grabbed 6 rebounds and added 2 steals.

The College of New Rochelle in the win was led by Jasmine Brandon with 19pts and Tra'Leassa King with 14pts.

The College of New Rochelle will play the Berkeley College of New York Knights in the Championship Game on Sunday Dec 2, 2012.

The Knights defeated the Yeshiva University Maccabees 77-48. The Knights had 4 players in double figures. Milan Germany led with 21pts, followed by Rachel Thomas with 15pts, Tierra Williams with 12pts, and Aiyesha Brown with 11pts. Yeshiva was led by Rebecca Yoshor. Yosher scored a game high 23pts and grabbed 27 rebounds. Stephanie Greenberg added 12pts.

Yeshiva and Medgar Evers College will play in the Consolation Game at 2pm, followed by the Championship Game at 4pm, between the Knights of Berkeley College of NY and the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels.
