Box Score Jamaica, NY- The Lady Cougars dropped their 13th straight game when they lost to the York College Lady Cardinals 70-41 on Friday February 3, 2012 at York College. The loss drops the Lady Cougars to 2-20 Overall and 0-10 CUNYAC while the Lady Cardinals improved to 3-17 Overall and 2-6 CUNYAC.

York College dominated the game. They led from the opening tip. York started the game on a 7-0 run before MEC scored a basket. York led by 21pts at one point. York started the 2nd half on a 8-0 run before MEC scored their 19th basket and first points of the 2nd half.

In the loss, MEC was led by Yvanna Jack. The Senior scored a game high 21pts, grabbed 24 rebounds, and tallied 5 steals. Chantal Biscette scored 17pts, grabbed 10 rebounds, tallied an assist, and 3 steals. 

York was led by Ishonda McFarland with 20pts, Danielle Dunn and Shadea Green scored 10pts.

MEC will be back in action on Wednesday February 8, 2012 when they play the College of Staten Island Dolphins at MEC. Game time is 6pm and prior to the game, Seniors Chantal Biscette, Yvanna Jack and Chathalia Jones will be honored before the game.
