COUGARS FALL TO BULLDOGS IN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Box Score Brooklyn, NY-  The Women's Basketball Cougars fell to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs 79-33 earlier tonight. The Bulldogs improve to 6-3 Overall and 2-1 CUNYAC, while the Cougars drop 2-7 Overall and 0-4 CUNYAC.

The Cougars started off on the wrong side of the scoreboard, down 9-0 early. The Cougars would fight back and take the lead with a 11-1 run, which lasted 2:06. The Bulldogs came back and bulit a 21-0 run, which lasted nine minutes. The Bulldogs didn't relinquish the lead for the rest of the game.

In the loss, the Cougars were led by Sophomore Guard and Captain Imani Mason scored 15pts (3-5 3pt. range). Mason grabbed six rebounds, and dished out three assists. Fellow classmate and Co-Captain Nia Tompkins scored 12pts (1-2 FT-FTA). Tompkins grabbed two rebounds, and tallied a team high four steals.  

Brooklyn College in the win, was led by Nacirema Mann scored 18pts. Megan Campbell added 15pts. 

The Cougars will break for Finals Week and the Holidays, and resume action on Monday Dec. 30, 2013, when they take on the Nazareth College Golden Flyers. Game time will be 7pm at Medgar Evers College.
