Box Score New York, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball Cougars fell to the Baruch College Bearcats 82-35 in the final game of the 2012-13 season. The Cougars finish with a record of 0-26 Overall and 0-16 CUNYAC while Baruch clinches the #1 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championships. The Bearcats improve to 23-2 Overall and 15-1 CUNYAC.
The Cougars got on the board 1st, when Junior
Roneke Browne nailed a 3pt. shot from the corner, making the score 3-0. The Bearcats would go on a 23-1 run and never look back.
The Cougars in the loss, were led by Freshman
Imani Mason. The Marietta, Georgia native scored 14pts, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out an assist, and added 3 steals.
In the win, Baruch had 3 players score in double digits, Jessica Duleba with 20pts, Frances Henry with 19pts and Sheridan Taylor with 10pts.
The Cougars will look to regroup of the next few months and focus on rebuilding for the 2013-14 season.
