Box Score Brooklyn, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball team fell to the Brooklyn College Bulldogs 71-31 earlier tonight. The win imprves the Bulldogs record to 14-5 Overall and 7-3 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 2-17 Overall and 0-11 CUNYAC.
The Bulldogs led from the opening tip. The Cougars got within a bucket twice, just withing the opening minutes of the game. The lone bright spot was the Cougars shot better on the free throw line (69.2% compared to 66.67%).
In the loss, the Cougars were led by Sophomore Guard and Co-Captain
Nia Tompkins with 15pts (5-6 FT-FTA). The Queens, NY native grabbed three rebounds, dished out an assist, and added two steals. Freshman Guard
Ashley Desir added a team high four assists.Â
In the win, Brooklyn was led from Megan Campbell with 19pts (4-7 FT-FTA).
The Cougars will look to regroup and travel to Manhattan and battle the John Jay College Bulldogs. Game time is 5pm.
