Box Score Staten Island, NY- The Medgar Evers College Women's Basketball Team fell to the College of Staten Island Dolphins 100-58 in the final conference game this season. The Dolphins improve to 19-6 Overall and 14-2 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 2-22 Overall and 0-16 CUNYAC.
The Cougars and Dolphins traded baskets the first four and a half minutes of the game. During the time span, it featured two ties, and the Cougars led twice as well. CSI took over the lead for good, after the game was tied at 8. The story of this game was Sophomore Guard and Co-Captain

Nia Tompkins scored a game and career high 37pts. Her counterpart Megan Myhre scored 34pts. Myhre hit 8 3pt shots in the 1st and only one in the 2nd half. Tompkins was guarding her. The Queens native Tompkins converted on 11 3pt. shots, which tied a CUNYAC single game record, set last season by Lehman College Guard Jennifer Navarro, ironically against Medgar Evers College.
Nia grabbed 10 rebounds, which was her 2nd double double this season, dished out an assist, and added two steals. Freshman Forward/Center
Kimonia Mullings grabbed a team high 11 rebounds. Freshman Guard
Ashley Desir dishied out a team high five assists. Junior Forward
Jasmine Dossou tallied a team high three blocks.
In the win, the Dolphins were led by Megan Myhre with 34pts. Three other Dolphins scored double digits including Nikki Fabozzi and Melanie Johnson with 17pts apiece. Alyssa Carlsen added 14pts.
The Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday February 25, 2014, when they take on the Saint Joseph's College of Long Island Eagles. This is a makeup game originally scheduled back on Feb. 5, 2014. Game time is 7pm at Medgar Evers College. Before the game, Senior Guard
