Staten Island, NY- The Women's Basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island Dolphins 72-25 earlier tonight. The Dolphins improve to 9-8 overall and 6-2 CUNYAC, while the Cougars drop to 1-15 overall and 0-8 CUNYAC. 

The Dolphins led wire to wire. The Cougars had five players suit up for the game. They pushed and fought very hard throughout the game. As a team  shot 21.7% from the field, 15% from 3pt. range, and 22.2% from the free throw line. Junior Guard Nia Tompkins led the Cougars with 10pts (4-18 FG-FGA, 2-13 3pt. FG-FGA, and 0-2 FT-FTA). Nia grabbed five rebounds, dished out an assist, and added a steal. Sophomore Guard Ashley Desir added seven points. In the win, the College of Staten Island Dolphins were led by Christina Pasaturo with 20pts. Victoria Crea added 13pts. 

The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday, January. 21, 2015, when they travel to Jamaica, NY, and take on the York College Cardinals. Tip-off will be 6:00 pm.
