Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y.- The Women's Basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island Dolphins 94-34 earlier tonight. The Dolphins improve to 14-9, 11-3 CUNYAC while the Cougars drop to 1-22, 0-14 CUNYAC.
The Dolphins led wire to wire. The Cougars shot 28.6% from the field, 38.5% from 3pt. range, and 14.3% from the charity stripe. CSI shot 58.5% from the field, 47.6% from 3pt. range, and 66.7% from the free throw line.
In the loss, Medgar Evers College was led by Junior Guard
Nia Tompkins with 17 points (6-19 FG-FGA and 5-11 3pt. FG-FGA). Nia grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and added a steal. Sophomore Guard
Ashley Desir scored eight points and dished out a game high six assists. Sophomore Forward
Kimonia Mullings grabbed a game high eight rebounds. CSI was led by Megan Myhre with 24 points. Christina Pasaturo scored 16 ponts and Victoria Gallinaro added 14 points.
The Cougars will be back in action on Friday, February. 13, 2015, when they travel to just a few miles away, and take on the Brooklyn College Bulldogs. Game time will be 5:00 p.m.
