Women's Basketball Defeated at Home by CUNYAC Foe Baruch

Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Despite Danyelle Foster (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posting her seventh double-double of the season, the Medgar Evers women's basketball team lost to Baruch College, 69-24 in CUNYAC play Sunday afternoon at the Cougars Cave.

Foster topped the Lady Cougars (0-11, 0-4 CUNYAC) with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and also added two blocks and two steals in a losing effort. Kimonia Mullings (Queens, N.Y.) chipped in with eight points and 11 boards, while Ashley Desir (Brooklyn, N.Y.) dished off a team-high four assists to go with seven rebounds.

Jacqueline Kennedy led all scorers with a double-double of her own, tallying 27 points and secured 22 rebounds for the Bearcats (4-4, 3-1 CUNYAC). Veronica Ganzi fell three assists shy of a triple-double with 14 points, 11 boards and seven assists, while Kristen Podlovitz dished seven assists along with her 18 points in the win.

Up next for Medgar Evers is another CUNYAC matchup with Hunter on Tuesday night as part of a doubleheader with the men's game at the Cougars Cave. Tip time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8.
