Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Medgar Evers women's basketball team allowed eight straight points to start the game, and could never recover despite two players with double-doubles as they lost to conference foe Baruch College, 77-52, Saturday afternoon at the ARC Arena.

Danyelle Foster tallied her 11th double-double of the season for the Lady Cougars (1-18, 1-10 CUNYAC), scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort. They also got a double-double effort from Kimonia Mullings (Flushing, N.Y.) with team-highs in both rebounds (17) and assists (3) along with 12 points. Elesha Dieudonne (Brooklyn, N.Y.) compiled eight points, corralled 15 boards and totaled four steals.

The Bearcats (9-9, 8-3 CUNYAC) were paced by Kristen Podlovits with her 20 points, 17 assists and seven steals in the victory. Shannon Barrett notched a double-double of her own, tallying 12 points and 15 rebounds. Victoria Ganzi poured in 19 points with six assists, while Jacqueline Kennedy added 18 points.

Baruch led the game from wire-to-wire after jumping out to an early lead on an 8-0 run to start the contest. Their tenacious defense stymied the Lady Cougars, shooting just 22.1% from the field and forced 23 turnovers which they turned into 22 points. In the loss, Medgar Evers still managed the glass very well with a 61-40 edge on total rebounds in the contest.
