Box Score Lady Cougars Fall 73-39 to Non-Conference Opponent Old Westbury

(OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.) – Medgar Evers women's basketball visited SUNY-Old Westbury for a non-conference matchup Monday night at the Clark Athletic Center. The Lady Cougars fell behind 9-1 in the first four minutes and could not recover losing 73-39. With the loss, Medgar Evers falls to 1-15 while Old Westbury improves to 12-3.

Medgar Evers struggle to put the ball in the basket in the first half scoring just 17 points on 7-27 shooting. Old Westbury lead going into the locker room up 41-17. The Lady Cougars turned the ball over 19 times in the first half and had difficulty with the pressure from the Panthers press. No player scored more than six points in the half.

In the second half it was more of the same as the Lady Cougars shot just 7-27 (26%). Medgar Evers was led by senior guard
Elesha Dieudonne (Brooklyn, N.Y.) who had 11 points and eight rebounds. No other player scored more than six points. Senior center
