Men's Soccer Shut Outs York College

The Medgar Evers Men's Soccer team was in action Saturday afternoon as they faced conference rival York College and won the game 4-0.Â
The Cougars were able to score four goals past the Cardinals' defense in the match. The Cougars scored one goal in the first half and three goals in the second half. Cougars had a total of fifteen shots in the match, five shots in the first half and ten shots in the second half.
The first goal was scored by Sophomore Bernard Julien (Jeremie / Haiti ) in the 28th minute. Julien also took three other shots on goal. The second goal was scored by Freshman Adeyemi Adeniyi (Oyo / Nigeria) assisted by Skyvinsky Fils (Leogane / Haiti) in the 57th minute of the game. The third goal was scored by Freshman Nana Asafu-Adjaye (Kumasi / Ghana) in the 65th minute. The fourth goal was scored by Freshman Sami Obadi (Ibibi / Yemen) in the 85th minute of the game. Freshman goalkeeper James Hyacinthe (Aquin / Haiti) had seven saves in the match out of zero goal attempts, four saves in the first half and three saves in the second half.Â
Medgar Evers (3-12, 2-5) will return to the field on Wednesday, October 18th for an away game against Lehman College at 6:00pm in Bronx, NY.
