Women's Volleyball Swept through Cairn University Tri Match

The Medgar Evers women's volleyball team get swept in the Cairn University Tri Match against Cairn University and John Jay College.
The first match was against Cairn University which the Cougars lost to the Highlanders 0-3 (10-25, 7-25, and 19-25).  Melisa Wright (St. Catherine, Jamaica WI) led the Cougars in kills with five. As a team, Cougars had twelve kills (three in the 1st set, three in the 2nd set, and six in the third set). Kaina Bazard (Haiti) led the Cougars in assist with eight. As a team, Cougars had eleven assist. Wright led in digs with twelve the team in the match. As a team, Cougars had thirty seven digs.
The second match was against John Jay College which the Cougars got swept by the Bloodhounds 0-3 (10-25, 12-25, and 6-25). Shania Laguerre (Trinidad, WI) led the Cougars in kills each with three. As a team, Cougars had six kills in the match (three in the 1st set, two in the 2nd set, one in the third set). Bazard led the Cougars in assist with five. As a team, Cougars had six assist. Wright led the Cougars in digs with eleven. As a team, Cougars had twenty eight digs.Â
Medgar Evers (0-21, 0-6) will return to the court on Tuesday, October 24th for the last regular season match at home versus The City College of New York at 7:00pm in Manhattan, NY.
